Overview
This project was my response to the Penguin Random House Student Design Award brief. We were tasked with re-imagining the cover for the classic fairy story Animal Farm. The book is a political satire based on the Russian Revolution of 1917. It tells the story of a farm revolution devised by the animals against an abusive farmer.
Rationale
With this cover I have tried to capture the essence of the Animal Farm book. The gigantic trotter represents the power and greed of the pigs and the oppression of the animals. The animal shadows are symbolic of their fall from grace within the story.
